5+9A+5mm Insulated Glass
5+9A+5mm insulated glass unit combines two panes of 5mm glass with 9mm spacer material and gas sealed in a frame into one window system. The multiple panes of glass and gas add extra barriers to heat and cold transfer.
Components of An Insulated Glass
Glass: available in a variety of thermal or chemical treatments glass, including coatings, laminations, and as tempered.
Gas: Argon gas added between the panes of glass in a window unit for added thermal efficiency. Both are colorless, odorless, and non-toxic.
Spacer Bar: Separates the glass to the appropriate distance and absorbs stress caused by thermal expansion. Usually metal. Provides a tight seal to hold in gas and acts as a moisture barrier. May also include desiccant to further discourage moisture.
Desiccant: A desiccant is a substance that absorbs moisture from the air typically used to sustain a state of dryness in its vicinity.

1. Is"low-E"glass tempered?
All types of insulated glass units are tempered by default. This includes Low-E glass. Tempered glass meets building safety standards and allows us to safely ship to all across the world.
2. Do you sell tinted windows?
Yes, we are building glass factory and can produce according customer's demand. For insulated glass, we recommend processing by use low-e glass more, which minimize the amount of ultraviolet and infrared light that can pass through glass.
3. Do you carry triple-pane insulated glass?
Yes, we have triple-pane insulated glass. Please send us message with your dimensions, glass thickness and other specifications, we will give you a quote.
4. What is the “total IG unit thickness”?
This is the total thickness of your insulated glass unit, include two or more panes of glass and the middle spacer bar. Single glass thick is usually 4-12mm, spacer thick can be 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm etc.
5. What are the applications of insulated glass?
Insulated glass has many applications, except window, it can also be used for parttiion wall, curtain wall, canopy, greenhouse etc.
