24mm Insulated Glass
24mm double-glazed unit(also known as insulated glass) has two lites of 6mm glass(normally is one lite of 6mm low e tempered glass and one lite of 6mm clear tempered glass) and separated by an air gap. Double glazing, compared to single glass glazing, cuts heat loss in half due to the insulating air space between the glass layers. In addition to reducing the heat flow, a double-glazed unit with clear glass will allow the transmission of high visible light and high solar heat gain. | ![]() |
Benefits of Insulated Glass Unit
The most significant advantage of getting double glazed units is its energy efficiency. Insulated provide thermal insulation. With double panes of glass, there’s less heat that enters and exits the building. That means hot days won’t be as hot or cold days won’t be as severe.
In line with that, the utility bill will be lower each month. AC and heater will be used less frequently, so that can save each month on your bill. Most importantly, insulated glass helps lowering your carbon footprint.
Other advantages include:
- Better soundproofing
- More privacy
- Durability and security
- Increase in property value
